Definitely, a never to be forgotten experience of a lifetime, this classic traverses one of the most culturally enriched regions on Earth.

The Lhasa to Kathmandu road is possibly the highest cycling route in the world. This tour is recommended only for those in peak physical condition. Nonetheless, despite the strenuous effort required to accomplish such a road tour at high altitudes, the rewards of cycling the Tibetan Plateau cannot be over stressed.

Personalizing the entire road to the individual, stops are made at all major points of interest along the way, the cyclists of course are also free to explore any area that may attract them on the road. Crossing six major passes, we wind our way through the towns of Gyantse, Shigatse, Lhatse and Shegar, discovering numerous monasteries, grassland encampments and rural communities. The plethora of scenic wonders encountered en route is also overwhelming.

Near Tingri, the north face of Everest comes into view before the thrilling descent off the bare plateau lands into the lush environs of the Nepal border area around Zhangmu. From Kodari, we continue downhill through the sub-tropical terraces of the Kathmandu Valley to finish our epic feat in luxury at the Everest Sheraton Hotel.
