    Meilixueshan (major peak Mt. Kawakarpo 6740m) lies on Yunnan Tibet border on today's map and situated in the south old Kham Tibetan region where three rivers flow down to join Salween, Irrawaddy and Mekong River. The unique geographical advantages add its beauty of this well known snow mountain.

    We will start from Hong Kong and fly to Kunming and then to Dali, the colorful ancient capital of the Bai people, which is known for its marble, brilliant textiles and excellent breed of horses. From here, our trip takes us across the Tibetan tablelands to Gyalthang, the pearl of South Kham before entering the beautiful mountain terrain of Meilixueshan, a memorable trekking experience of lifetime. We drive towards southeast into Lijiang, home of the Naxi tribe before returning Hong Kong via Kunming.

HIGHLIGHTS

1. Ancient capital Dali of Nanzhao during the 8^th and 9^th centuries and colorful Bai people;
2. Gyalthang - the center town of Tibet tablelands of southeast Kham -the masteries of Deqen;
3. Ganden Galuk Monastery built by the 5^th Dalai Lama in the 17^th century, where housed 600 monks;
4. Walk to Meilixueshan;
5. Lijiang, home of the Naxi people who maintain a matriarchal society until today's date.
