The Capital Tour will give us a chance to
explore Beijing, capital of China for most of the past seven centuries, today lies at the
heart of a nation of more than a billion people. A wealth of historic monuments bears
witness to the city's fabulous past - the Great Wall, the Imperial Palace - Forbidden
City, the Temple of Heaven, the Ming Tombs, the Summer Palace. But there is also much that
is new to intrigue the visitor. No city reflects more clearly the current vibrant mood
that is sweeping the nation as it embarks on a brave modernization program. A famous
Peking Duck Cuisine and a fine traditional Acrobatic show will add to our memory.
