Once
again, by extending the length of the programme, we are able take in that much more,
without feeling rushed. CLG4, like CLG3, enjoys a pleasant cruise through the
Yangtse Gorges. However, by starting and finishing the circuit in Hong Kong, one gains a
very real sense of travelling "all over" China.
The trip features more time in
Chongqing, Guilin, and Shanghai than CLG3,
with the added bonus of a visit to Suzhou - the venice of the East, as well as a trip down
the 1300 year old Grand Canal. At Nanjing we can experience the grandeur of the Yangtse at
close quarters, giving one a keen sense of comparison when, a week later, we cruise along
her mighty waters.
At Chonqing we again head
downstream, disembarking at Yichang, from where we fly to the bustling modern city of
Wuhan. and finally Canton.
For those who prefer to enter and exit from Hong
Kong, and for those who enjoy that little bit extra comfort and ease of pace, this is an
ideal way to explore the real magic of the country. From the romance of Guilin, Suzhou,
and the Three Gorges, to the grandeur of Shanghai and Beijing, this programme not only
